Open Mic Night 8th May

The Gallery Café Bar & Bistro hosted their first “open mic’ night” on Tuesday, 10th May (2011) where musicians and singers had the opportunity to take centre stage, taking it in turns to perform.

The next “open mic’ night” at The Gallery will be held on Tuesday, 8th May and whether you’re into folk, country, blues or rock n’ roll, there will be something for everyone. Entry is free and all are welcome.

Medieval Night – St George’s Day 2012

The Gallery held its second Medieval Banquet to celebrate St Georges Day on Friday, 20th of April.

Everyone made a fantastic effort with costumes, we had jesters, maidens, monks, knights and some scary looking serving wenches!

“Gavin the Sorcerer” amazed us with his magic and made Antonia squeal when the deck of cards she was holding disappeared before her eyes!

Thank you to everyone for participating in a great evening, fair thee well until next year!

Silent movie star George Valentin bemoans the coming era of talking pictures and fades into oblivion and self-destruction, but finds sparks with Peppy Miller, a young dancer lighting up talkies like no one else.

The Chard Cinema Club meets every month to show new release films at the Guild Hall. In support of the Cinema Club, The Gallery provides new film information and trailers to preview on The Gallery website, and will be open from 6pm for pre-cinema drinks, nibbles, tea and coffee.
