I have eaten at The Gallery twice. The first time with a group of girl friends for an evening meal and the second time was breakfast with my boyfriend. On both visits the food was wonderful and the service was personal and attentive. I would highly recommend this bistro for a leisurely weekend breakfast, a long lunch, a superb evening meal or even just a catch up over coffee or glass of wine. It is great food in a contemporary atmosphere. A cut above anything else Chard has to offer.

What a treasure of a restaurant. Wonderful food, fabulous surroundings and helpful and pleasant owners. The art shows make a pleasant diversion but the main reason to go there is the wonderful food. An oasis in Chard.

We stumbled on this charming place while searching for a late lunch stop. Appetising, varied light lunch menu – we could have chosen any of the options. Personable informative host. Selection of paintings adorned the walls, together with a glass case of jewellery. All very tempting. Would love to live nearer to go more often! Morning coffee, lunch or dinner with atmosphere.

My wife and I (who I hasten to add are by no means easily pleased when dining out) had the pleasure of dining at the Gallery this last Friday evening and the food and service was so good that whilst we were in the area went back again on the Saturday night as well: we were not disappointed and can only say that we would gladly go back again should we find ourselves in the area once more: use it and enjoy the unique atmosphere and top quality food and service!

This is a gem of an eating place. It has a warm welcome, comfortable and very pleasant ambience with an exciting, tempting and individual menu. The standard of cooking and presentation is consistently high with a regularly changing choice. Whether you asre looking for coffee, a light lunch or a special occasion dinner this is the place to choose and their themed evenings are brilliant!!
I visit regularly and have never been disappointed.

A show of hands proved the Sunday lunch devoured by my family was a sure winner, a choice of perfectly cooked meats and fab variety of veg went down a storm. It left us wanting our comfy chairs and twenty winks a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!

The Gallery is THE place to eat for select surroundings and good freshly cooked food. The Gallery Brunch is wonderful especially with the eggy toast, their soups are to die for, satisfying and somehow ‘reassuring’. The lunchtime menu is varied and intersting, their Burns night was a hoot and a must for next year and their cakes ooooh their cakes … is the word superlative the right one to use? If you have not gone to the Gallery, go, go tomorrow and see for yourself and enjoy this totally gastronomic experience.

An excellent restaurant in Chard with the full range of meals from morning coffee/tea to evening fine dining. The new owners have made it a really relaxing place in which to meet friends and enjoy good food and the setting is stylish and attractive. There are light meals at lunchtimes and the evening meals are interesting and varied. The chef changes the menu monthly and there are regular special events such as wine tasting or specially themed meals. Not to be missed if you are in the area.
